Mine seems to run into intermittent data problems, where the data will stop flowing even though the 1XEV is still in capitals. I have to disconnect/reconnect in Connection Manager to start the data flow again. It was pretty bad the first two weeks, though it seems to have lessened this past week. Perhaps there was a problem with the local tower in my area.
The best part about this newer Berry is the video camera. The picture quality is like night and day compared with the 8330's video camera.
Besides recently not having a trackball, it seems that my 8330 works great from Boost with no problems. And I know the newer BB's have horrible, horrible batteries.

i was in same boat as you, battery life is pretty good, no downfalls with the 8530 i have noticed and it is ALOT faster then my 8830 was i say go for it

That's definitly not a good thing, since you and I both live in SE Michigan...
