Awesome - thanks for the heads up.

The version 2.5.2 that was for the Storm worked, but it was obviously not totally compatible.

This one seems much better, at least visually.

I searched for Shazam and received both Shazam and Shazam Encore as a result. Downloaded the free version as I rarely ever use Shazam...it's nice to have once in awhile though.

This was the old Shazam download link - the BB OS 4.7 plus version 2.5.2

I'm not sure if it's updated or not or how to find a newer link as it was found in robinshazam's signature on this forum.

I had free version previously. I just checked My World, and it had moved from Unavailable to Uninstalled. New version is 2.6, weighing in at 1.5MB.

You can find it here: App World - Download Shazam 2.6 (free ver)

Nice catch, Daryl! Thanks for the heads up.

When reset App World this morning to see the new Torch-friendly Lexulous version, I didn't scroll past L in My World. Doh!

Yes it does. I just tagged 10 songs playing at normal listening volume on my
television from my couch seven feet away.

    Further testing for Torch users:

Citgo station with 8 bays: Tagged the song playing in the car in the bay next to me.
Tagged the song playing from the PA system (after the other car left.)

Price Chopper supermarket: Tagged three songs playing from the overhead
speaker system. (Had to explain to a couple of people why I was "Statue of
    Libertying" my phone )

All succeeded. Very impressive app. And phone

I am a little gun shy as I also show it in unistalled. The last time that I re-installed an app from this category in My World. I had to do a restore from a DM backup.

Do an ALT+RST from My World, then install it.

    Alt+rst???
Go into My World, hold down the ALT key and type the 3 letters R S T.
Let go. App World will freeze and close. You can re-open immediately.

You'll have to Log In for My World again, but all listings will be up-to-date.

Honestly JCP, it's not that major of an operation.
I understand your hesitation—once bitten, twice shy—but you really shouldn't have anything to worry about.

In AW 1.X, ALT+RST used to reset your My World to remove the archived apps and anything else wonky there.

In AW 2.0, ALT+RST forces App World tp update any apps that are showing a previous version, being unavailable, already updated when they're not, showing an update you've already installed, etc.

It's for those times when you come here and see on the front page App XYZ is updated to version 4.0, then you head to App World and it still says 3.0. This resets it so the proper version/status shows.

Sorry, one more note, JCP. The ALT+RST does NOT necessitate any kind of battery pull or reboot.

(Of course that might be necessary after you run an upgrade, as per usual.)

Ok. I will give it a whirl. I am overly cautious by nature. I don't load leaked OS updates.

No this is nothing like a beta or a leak of anything. It's like giving App World a battery pull, or shaking that vending machine so it drops that candy bar you just bought!
