I was just wondering if any Canadian providers offer any unlimited calling to the States plans? I know Sprint does for calling to Canada but I was wondering about vice-versa.. haven't found any. Thanks.
How about adding a Skype North American calling plan. Its 30 bucks for whole year. Works great from you home zone. Skype gives you a local skypeout number that in turns can call out to any north american number. works great. I use the free version of Blacada (available in app world) that i program to call the local skypeout number prior to dialing the long distance number.
Note that the plan that I referenced from Rogers is not an add-on, that is the total cost of the plan with the exception of taxes. In other words, that plan gives you both unlimited local airtime and long distance within North America, in addition to unlimited texting.

But was by far the cheapest when traveling to the US a lot,
I moved from Bell to Rogers recently and am finding Rogers more expensive in everything except unlimited to US
I signed up two weeks ago on Rogers and they completely screwed up my account when setting it up. While trying to get it sorted out I said "Screw it, I'll just go back to Bell" she immediately came up with this plan. $50 Unlimited Talk and Text originating in Canada to anywhere in North America. It is an unpublished offer and I think is only offered by retentions.

Yep, retentions only and there is a local version of the plan as well if you don't need the long distance. I have the local plan for $35/month and it works perfectly for my mostly daytime usage for work.
just call *611 and tell them how you are "thinking" of switching providers because you travel alot and make alot of calls to the states and other Canadian cities. In theory this would make the rententions reps suggest this plan. if all else fails just ask for a North American Voice plan, or call in again till you get a rep that will give it to you.
for most of my credits i have with rogers, it took 2-3 calls to get the right rep to help you out

I've been with Rogers 2 months just left them from Bell, SOOO don't think they are worried about me leaving
You could still call in and explain how you heard that There's a 50 dollar NA voice plan, and since you travel a lot, your very interested in it. The worst that could happen is they say no, and you would have to wait till you get more into your contract
