I'm sure Seidio will release one. Go to seidioonline.com and see if there's anything yet. If not, there should be a way to sign up for new-product updates.

This is from Seidio's customer service. Not sure if it means that there is a battery in the works or not:
Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your inquiry at Seidioonline. At the moment we are working on new and exciting products for the Black Berry Torch 9800. Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA on the product line. Please email [email protected] for more updates on these products. Also, check our website periodically for any updates on this product line.
+1 the .448 and .450 work wonders with the battery life.
-1 I had the original OS that came shipped to the Torches in Canada, (.228 I believe) and now I had .448 and .450 and the battery life sucks compared to it.
^ I would rather carry a spare OEM battery around than risk using that monstrosity.
Currently, there is no 'good, normal sized' extended life battery.
Fortunately I can get 1.5-2days out of a charge so no worries.

I believe all Canadian carriers released the Torch with 246 already loaded. Maybe I'm mistaken. Mine from Telus certainly came with 246 loaded out of the box.
Mine from Rogers had .246 installed as well. I then updated to .337 and then recently to .450. Battery life got much better with .450, and turning down the screen brightness to at least 60 (I believe 100 is the default). Both of these changes should drastically improve your battery life. Set the screen brightness even lower if you can as well. The lower the brightness, the longer the battery will last.

Hmm I was just about to post about this. I've found two extended batteries on ebay but i don't trust em...let me know asap when you guys find one because i'm constantly on my phone so it doesn't last the whole day lol
These knock off batteries are a pain the @55 since you have to "configure" them with the oem with a special device they ship with every time you take it off or something, because oems have a cryptographic ic. So, its no good for the battery pullers.

Seidio still has no plans apparently to create an extended battery for the Toch. But supposedly Mugen Power is creating one at the moment to be ready for release sometime in March. I've used their products before and find that the overall battery life lasts longer than Seidio and usually cheaper
