I've used loads of themes but always end up back to the original precision zen theme. Something about it that just, works.

    Default theme is best,
Although most of themes cause bb to slowdown.
    So default is best.

I have tried many themes, but like silence69, i always go back to precision zen theme (blue).

I don't know, is it just me or the media>pictures window never gets themed. whenever I try other themes, it stays blue :-( ? This is the only reason why I revert back to the default theme.

I tried so many themes, but i finally went back to the precision zen theme.

Do anyone know the difference between the T Mobile theme and the precision zen theme ? except of the wallpaper of course?
    cant find any difference

This poll is misleading in the question. I think it needs to be deleted and repolled with the question "Do you use the native theme that came installed on your BB?"

I used to use the default theme until I found Newberry6 over in the theme forum. I like it because you can access 13 different apps/phone functions from the main screen and it has OS6 icons. With a hidden dock it doesn't seem cluttered.

Found that, pertains to the same thread as this.

I stick with the stock theme and I'm satisfied.

I change themes at least twice a day and download new ones all the time. A well made theme will perform equal to the stock themes. A poorly made one can drain your battery faster than normal and degrade performance.

I use the theme linked below, 17 active icons on the main screen, I have no reason to go off of the main screen to do almost everything I need and I've found no ill side effects to performance or battery and it's FREE ... perfect!!

Its funny I always thought a lot of people use third party themes but everytime I see someone elses BlackBerry, most of them are using the default theme. A lot of it also has to do with them not knowing what a theme is or even how to download one.

For me personally, I download quite a few but always go back to one or two that work well (minimal clutter and high functionality)

This statement is utter crap. I have used hundreds of themes on six different
devices and less than 2% have had an ill effect on my devices. Fact is I NEVER
use any of the default themes and can run circles around any other device.

No matter what, i just like the default theme.

clean, easy, done. those iphone/htc sense/fire-explosion themes just are too cluttered.

I don't use the default themes, at all. They seem to make the screen look smaller. I tend to go for the minimalist type of theme. so, I can show off my wallpapers.

Same here, I dont know why, although I have many nice themes, but I just feel using the phone is easier with the default theme.

I use a minimal theme with 5 mini-icons, since I seldom use them any more. QuickLaunch has taken the place of the majority of my icons, and I've cleaned out most of my old launchers. Works well for me.

I used the default Precision Zen theme for about a few weeks after I first received my Blackberry Bold 9700 but eventually grew to love customization. I love variety and changing themes based on wallpapers and BatteryEx + BerryWeather skins

I have used BBerryBliss non-hidden today on a number of berries and think it is great. I consider it as useful as any app. Give it a try, it is free. Here is a picture of my home screen with no unseen e-mails (or up to 3 would be listed).

Ditto about QL. I stopped using the defualt themes as soon as there were other themes available to dl for the 9700.
