Hey, i bought an unlocked Torch. I'm in Rogers area and phone is an AT&T

Everything works great!!!!

But i would like to make the phone not branded to AT&T

Is this easy to do?

You should be able to obtain an unlock code but why didn't you wait and get a Rogers Torch? If you are in your 30 day window, return the AT&T and get the Rogers which should already have OS .246.

No its not easy to debrand a BB. Its impossible! Unlocking it is the only way to use it on another network but with an AT&T phone you lose the option for 3G only

U might be able to get 3G. Just find out what band rogers is on cause I read a lot off canadian carriers are on the same band frequincy as att.

You won't be able to remove the AT&T branding as it is flashed directly on the hardware. There are tools to access this, but they are supposed to be unavailable to the public, and the illegal stuff that is out there doesn't work on the later devices.

I don't understand the purpose of locking to 3G only if you move out of range for 3G, wouldn't you want to be able to pick up whatever signal you can?

Rogers runs the same frequencies that AT&T does
