Upgraded last night, went very smoothly. Thanks for the help everyone! It's 4.5.0.51. Only thing that immediately ticked me off was the lack of preloaded backgrounds (I was always fond of the cool designs) so I just DLed some solid/color wallpapers from CB.
^ are you saying that rim has already given verizon the "official" 4.5?
lol haha
Even if Verizon did get their hands on a version of OS 4.5 for CDMA that could be considered anywhere close to official... it would take them months and months to even consider releasing it!

It is Verizon we are talking about here... lol
let em take there time...after all, Verizon BB's are the best BB's out there to date of each model...everyone with a 8300-8320 curve deep down inside wishes they had the memory capacity of an 8330
I just got my 8330 2 days ago. Do I need to have the media card installed before upgrading the OS? I ordered one; it just hasn't come in yet. I don't know what all can/should/shouldn't be downloaded without a media card installed.

How does the amount of internal memory of devices (a hardware specification) have anything to do with OS releases?!
I am not flaming VZW, I am stating a fact. It is partially not their fault since the CDMA releases are behind the GSM a little bit, but you also have to admit that slowness of firmware upgrades for VZW devices is a known VZW fault. All the VZW users I know make fun of VZW for this reason!
And, yes, the 8330 has more memory... which is nice! And the VZW Curve has EVDO. I am not belittling VZW, but you have to admit they are always a little slow on the software side
