    From Engadget...

Well, it looks RIM hasn't been ignoring all those complaints about its less than speedy BlackBerry Torch -- the company has just pushed out an updated version of BlackBerry 6 for the device that promises a whole host of speed improvements. That includes faster page loading and improved panning in the browser, improved responsiveness after unlocking the device, faster application launching, exiting and switching, faster rendering and smoother transitions on the home screen, faster rendering of thumbnails in the picture application, and faster and smoother scrolling in the message list and when reading email -- oh, and improved audio quality too. Look for the update (v6.0.0.695) to begin rolling out directly to devices over the next week and a half, or simply hit up either RIM or AT&T below to skip the wait and download the update right now.

This is the same 6.0.0.246, bundle 695 that everyone got the update for the other day and rogers devices released with, or the beta that some of us have been running for weeks already. No new news here

Yes its also known as 6.0.0.246 695 is the bundle. If you don't have it yet, I highly recommend it

I think the problem is that the title suggests that this is .695 instead of release .246 bundle 695.
Small detail, but hugely important. :-)

Engadget obviously made a mistake - if there is a .695 next week it will certainly not be official from AT&T. No chance of AT&T releasing 2 new official OS versions for the same device within a span of a few weeks.

The fact that app version .246 is bundle 695 makes it clear it was a mix up.

I think a mod changed the title of this thread to .245 instead of .246 by mistake!

I downloaded last night and in less than 30 minutes, it was done. I've already noticed faster, easier response of the touch screen, trackball, and internet access so far.

No, AppLoader or Desktop Manager will both back up and restore your contacts and apps (as well as calendar appointments if you use that function of PIM on your Torch).
With paid apps you may have to re-register them.

known issue: as in the leaked releases up to .246 and in the official ATT .246 release - the ATT teleconference dial-in (866 prefix) works but the participant/host code entry is not recognized as being entered from virtual/physical keyboard.

I am using a 9800 with 6.0 Bundle 695 - does anyone know what's needed to correct the AT&T Teleconference issue noted in the previous posts ? Currently unable to use our Teleconf services via AT&T, but others work fine.
