Since I am not at my 10 post minimum yet I have to hack together some links. Sorry for the annoyance.
I saw this thread (forums dot crackberry dot com slash f110 slash pandora-radio-usage-486089) that talks about Pandora usage through US Cellular. Anyway, I recently got a Bold 9650 (sweet) and it looks like (appworld dot blackberry dot com slash webstore slash content slash 872) Pandora is not available for US Cellular customers. Am I missing a way to get Pandora or is the information I found correct?
The Bold, Curve, Pearl, Storm, Tour, Torch and 8800-series are supported for the Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, Alltel and T-mobile networks. An updated list is always available on our Pandora BlackBerry page.
Works fine on my Tour. I use it all the time. I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work on the 9650, although the way AW is set up, it might not show there.
I would try going to the Pandora website and try downloading it from there.
Going through the App World didn't work because it never gave me the option to install. It said that it wasn't available for my model or carrier. Going to pandora.com on the bb browser let me download and install it, but whenever I start the app it shows me the "start screen" of Pandora and then disappears. Could US Cell be killing the process? Seems unlikely.
My wife's 8530 would show the start screen and just stay there. It seemed like starting a new account took a little while. After about 1/2 a day it started working. I have been using Pandora on PC for a long time. I went to Pandora in the BB browser and downloaded to my Bold and it hooked right up to my existing Pandora account. The only prob I have now, is that the headphone output drops out from time to time. This seems to be a common problem. Both of our USCC phones are now using Pandora.
