    Hey all

I am having a bit of an unusual battery drain problem. I do daily maintenance on my Curve 8530 which includes clearing the browser cache, doing a memory cleaning and clearing the event log. I then reset the device by doing a alt right shift del reset. After the device is back up and running my battery level is anywhere from 10-15% lower than before I do my reset.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

The best way to maintain battery is to make sure to close every app by fully exiting, not just running in the background. That goes for BBM as well.

You have a disadvantage off the bat over 8520 owners because 3G kills battery.

    Also use WIFI when possible.

When reseting, do a battery pull rather than a 3 finger salute. Yanking the battery kills all electronics, and lets the device cleanly boot up.

    Also try the following tips:

Ha! For some reason that struck me as horribly funny. I just spit Pepsi all over my laptop. Thanks for that.
