    So i deleted the Vendor file after downloading the new device software and i still cannot get it loaded on my sprint 8530. What gives?

    either it shows but when i select it is shows no updates availavle and im on an old DM 5.0.1 something even do i need the newest one?

    Download the new OS.
    Install it.

    Delete vendor.xml

    Start loader. (same dir as the xml file)

    Go have a pizza and come back.

    Disconnect your computer from the internet before opening the desktop mgr.

    It also might help to wipe it, so no other OS will be recognized by the DM.

    i find that bbsak works better for loading software. especially if you have old software loaded on your pc.

    I second this. Don't use DM, use app loader. Worked for me in the past.
