You must have been mistaken, the Curve 8330 never got and never will have BlackBerry 6. Are you talking of the Curve 9330? You seem to have that one mentioned in the tags for your post.
You have the 8330 listed as your device model and state that is the phone you are talking abut in your question. If this is the phone you are talking about than hotgeekness is right, the 8330 doesn't have the memory capacity to run OS6. It can barely run OS5, and only one carrier has released OS5 for their device (Boost Mobile). If you are looking for the best (in my opinion) OS to run on you phone try this hybrid. 8330 v438.13.0 Updated to v438.13.1
The 8330 has not and most likely will not ever get os 6. os 5 works very well though. even though it takes up a little more memory... its well worth it! Im not sure about the 9330.

TELUS doesn't sell the 8330 anymore what so ever....and they also do not carry the 9330...you must be talking about the 9300??? right???
Yes, OS 5.0 barely fits on a 8330. In my experience, you have to use a hybrid or at least shrink the OS to have any chance of not crashing regularly and/or bleeding memory. (Trying to put OS 5.0 on my wife's 8330 right before she ended up getting a 9700 was actually what got me started shrinking OS's.)
The download files for OS 6 are typically over 128MB, so it would never fit on a 8330 with a total 96MB.
Besides, OS6 is not being made for any device with a trackball, not even the Tour 9630.

Yep, no Canadian carrier at this point carries the 9330. They all have the 9300, which is due to get 6.
Verizon has the 9330. Not sure about Sprint or smaller CDMA carriers in US, but definitely not Telus, Bell, or Rogers.
It will be interesting to see it once released. Unlike the 512MB 9330, the 9300 has 256MB like the 9700, so OS6 is a tight squeeze if you want some apps/themes on there too.
