I loved my Bold 9000 before I got my iPhone 4 and now Torch, but I loved the physical size of the 9000 the most of the 3, especially the keyboard. Do you all think we will ever get a TRUE bold sized device in the future?
I've only played with both, never used either for an extended time, but liked the size of the 9700 better. However, there does seem to be a market for a BB the size of the 9000. That being said, it appears RIM doesn't feel the same way.
It just goes with the everything must be smaller idea. I personally love the size of the 9000 and I'm currently using a 9700. Must say I'm not really impressed with the keyboard on this device. I'm sure there's a pretty good market out there for such a device though. That would probably be about the only way I stay. The torch to me is a joke. It failed horribly in my eyes. That tells me where their minds are set in future.

If RIM were to refresh the 9000 like they are the Storm 2 and a few other models it would do well. The larger screen, nicer keyboard, and better speakers matched with a device like the 9700 so that it handles a newer OS like version 6 and manages battery life more appropriately would be perfect for me.
I have been wanting a new 9000 for a while now, but RIM keeps making their devices smaller and smaller. The 9000's keyboard is the best out of any BB, and was the last BB that I felt was made with good quality.
I'd love to see RIM produce an updated 9000-size device. I'm with Verizon and had an 8830, I loved the size of the phone and the keyboard. Unfortunately, my needs outgrew the minimal internal memory so I had to move on to the Tour 9630 and now the Bold 9650, but neither come close to my 8830 form-factor love.
I'd be on line to buy a 9000/8830-sized BB, although I need a CDMA version. Unfortunately, I don't think that it's going to happen.
The 9000 keyboard was/is a Cadillac. I have to agree that I preferred the size of the 9700 though. Hate the keyboard on the torch, when I owned it. Seemed thin and cramped. It amazes me how a company can take a few steps forward only to go backwards on future designs.
The rumored one that was supposed to drop this year was the one codenamed
"Magnum." Probably a bigger rehash of a 9780 if it was to come out. I use my 9700
once in a while but to tell you the truth I'd prefer to use a 9000 again instead. Most
comfortable keyboard I've ever typed on.
I hope they make a blackberry the size of the 9000 with a faster processor, more RAM, front facing camera because it is in all a business phone, conference calling would be nice, and maybe even a touch screen, just cuz!!!!! I'm hopeful maybe web browsing will be better. I'm just waiting patiently so that i can have the perfect Blackberry and looks to me I will be waiting a while being that the storm 3 is just a replica of the storm 2....Again, I'm hopeful......
I loved the form factor of the 9000. Out of all the devices I've owned I must say it had the best keyboard and that is the most important part of a BlackBerry for me. All RIM needs to do is release this same form factor with a faster processor and more memory...
I have both and I think there's room for both, the 9700 smaller size comes in very useful, you can hardly feel it in your pocket but the 9000's bigger screen and keyboard size is very useful too especially if you're on the go a lot, if you use it for navigation etc
