Whenever I use Opera Mini 5.1 for Blackberry on my 9650 the scrolling is erratic, is this a problem with the previous version?

Scrolling was erratic on my Curve 8330 and on my new Bold 9650 every time I ever used Opera Mini. While it did a nice job rendering pages, I never liked the functionality of the browser and therefore never used it. The random scrolling and difficulty controlling what you were clicking on was the biggest thing. The new browser for 5.0 is just fine in my opinion, and of course the WebKit on the OS6 leak is way better than both.

OM unfortunately has always had mouse and scrolling issues on the BlackBerry platform. If you use it enough, you kind of get used to it. But if you ever open up the native browser, you immediately explain, "Ye gods, I actually have control over my mouse! Why can't OM do this??"

For that and other reasons, I'm a native browser fan.

I find Bolt Browser a decent alternative to the default browser OS5 browser. I'd love to try out the new webkit browser but as I own a Curve 8520 the chances of ever getting OS6 are slim to non.

Driphter is working on that for you
I'm not so sure they'll be able to do it, but they're trying.

There is a problem specific to the 9650. I have a 9700 and OM works great on it. I installed OM on my wife's 9650 and the touchpad navigation was so bad I deleted OM.

Someone posted this link to a page for older versions of Opera Mini a few months back:

You'll want to scroll down and get Opera Mini 5, Beta 2
That version doesn't seem to have the scrolling bug.

I'm running Opera Mini 5, Beta 2 and I don't have the scrolling issues in comparison to other versions that I've installed on my 9650. Works great.

I see both the jad and jar file on that link.

How do I install onto my BB OTA ? Do I download both files to my BB then click on one of them?
