I noticed if you send a text message longer than 160 characters the character count goes away and the phone tries to disguise message as MMS. Two people I sent messages to said they could not read it. Messages less than 160 characters do send fine. When sending over 160 characters, it 'appears' to send fine.

In the Text Messages Options there is an Option that says send Text as and I think Auto is selected. Try changing it to text only and see if that helps

Thanks that indeed fixed my issue.

I think there is an issue with sending MMS messages from OS 6 though.

Sent to:
Sprint Epic 4G: couldn't view picture
Sprint Tour 9630: couldn't view picture
Sprint Pre: could view
Sprint Centro: could view
Verizon Dumb phone: could view
Telus dumb phone: could view

Never had an issue sending picture mail to Epic 4G or Tour till OS6 update. Anyone having these issues?

I'm on .280 as well, and get a "Field Full" error when trying to go over 160 characters. I don't see an option to change to Auto either.
