Today I was on the road in an open area in the city, and I was with a friend giving me directoins, the call dropped out like 4 times

my GFs 8520 was at full signal and mine was flaky going up and down from full to half all the time

That's it! im going back to the trusty 714 OS which never gave me such ****!

I dont know how are u guys coping with this or if its just me

me and my GF use the same carrier so its not the carrier

well I thought so too.....doesn't dorp calls on short calls.....this is the first time i make a call that lasted more than a few minutes when I noticed this glitch

Almost 3 weeks, and the only dropped calls are when I go through areas where I KNOW there is practically no signal. But, I've lost signal and dropped calls there on my 9000, 8300, my old Motorola and Sony Erricson phones.

As for call length, I've had several 2 hour+ calls with the future Mrs. Wolfman (That happens a lot when you live almost 500 miles apart).

You just have bad luck Bro!

AT&T, 9700/5.0.0.862, no issues on long calls ( even while tethered ) and I've been running it since it was released. Overall its been the best OS I've run.

I guess so mate.......I was loving it though......very fast OS........pictures browsing being slow was finally fixed......oh well 714 FTW for me

Never had a dropped call on .862. Only the uncommon "authorization failure" a few times.

I had to downgrade from the .862 to the .743... had lots of dropped calls and the signal was very poor. I guess its a like trial & error... you hae to find the right OS for your carrier and where you live

I installed the 5.0.0.862 2 days ago and it's running great with no problems! All apps are running fast as well!!

i have notice that on my bold too. where i would normally get full bars of signal, i would get like 1. I had to many dropped calls, so i decided to switch back to .743 and everything was fixed! now where i normally get 1 bar of signal, i get full fulls.

It's Jef's fault ML has a .714 fetish.

I'm still on 9700/5.0.0.602 here. It has bugs. But, I just haven't taken the time to upgrade. But it works good enough.

If you do a little digging, in the MANY MANY threads (Not just the dozen or so ML has started), I believe you will find ML has Downgraded, Upgraded, Downgraded, jumped down, turned around, picked a bale of cotton, Upgraded, and Downgraded again within the course of the last 2, maybe 3 weeks.

And, every OS has been the best one ever.... for at least 12 to 24 hours!!!
