I recently purchased a used blackberry bold 9000.
It seems as though the previous owner erased everything off of the device, including the blackberry os.
I am trying to get the phone to update or install a OS, but it is in a constant reboot cycle (as far as i can tell) and won't be recognized by blackberry desktop manager (i use a mac)
I attempted to use loader to install software on my device, but not even loader can read the device long enough to allow the OS to be installed.
    Any Ideas???
    Thanks

Borrow a PC and try the steps given here first.

If that does not work, try the steps given here.

What model Mac? If you have an Intel based Mac you can install Windows via Boot Camp, and use the PC version of the desktop software.
