    I have a sprint 8330 and was wondering is there a way I can force it on my bb. I tried from the website and DM and they said I had current one

    As long as it isn't an 8330m you can load it using any one of a few ways.

    I'm mad because the insurence company sent me a 8330 instead of the 8330m like my original one. Ok but is there a link where I can force my OS to upgrade to 5.0

    You will have to download the Boost 5.0 file, delete the Vendor.xml, wipe your phone, and then run the Apploader.exe. Make sure to backup your files first though, and I suggest using a hybrid.

    Go to BBTweaks.com & read the tutorials there. Actually you are fortunate to have a 8330 instead of the 8330m.

    To me I like the 8330m because of the simply fact of the MMS.

    The 8330 definitely has MMS capability. It sounds like it has something to do with your data plan that Sprint is restricting it from going to your BB. Can any Sprint users out there shed any light on this?

    Yeah, I have Sprint and it definitely shouldn't do that. My cousin has a Pearl on Sprint, and it takes him to the Sprint pic mail account to see it but it shouldn't do that with the 8330 because it never has for me. Maybe try getting the newest OS for the Sprint 8330 which I think is 4.5.187.

    I have a Sprint 8330, and I somehow setup automatic MMS.
    My son said his 8330 started doing it all by itself???
    I used to have to go to picture mail.

    It might have been Options --> MMS -->
    Multimedia Reception --> Always
    Automatic Retrieval --> Always

    The latest OS Rev from Sprint is 4.5.0.186. (I thought it was .187?)
    You can load that OTA if you're not there already.

    I just jumped the OS5 hybrid from BBTweaks.com.
    It is very, very cool. I'm not going back...

    well sprint gave me a new phone. the8330m and everything is working.(keyboard stop working while at work). as far as the mms i recieve it instead of the link. i guess the older bb curve 8330 was still in the transition of mms and the new 8330m is ready for it.

    Your profile shows a 8830? But I assume it is a typo because you're asking about wiping a 8330. Is that correct?

    You will have to delete all past OS on your computer, download and install the Boost base OS. Then download BBSAK 1.7, and click on wipe. After that run the apploader.exe.

    Yeah, you can do it like that too, but I just use the apploader.exe file. I don't know if there is any differences, but if it works then why change my methods :P

    Yeah, pretty much. I realy suggest using a hybrid though. They got a great tutorial on BBTweaks.com. They cover everything from start to finish.
