I have a blackberry bold 9650 with verizon. I am currently connected to my campus' college network using PEAP, my username and password, and the option to disable server certificate validation checked.
I saw two other people with blackberries, one on at&t and the other with t-mobile. Neither blackberry had disable server certificate validation in their options and I think their blackberries are up to date and new.
