    ....

the 9700 video i saw. That was awesome. Anyone else peep that video?
will our 9650's work that well?

does the 9700's processor what makes it happen?

Why would the 9650 get a small Processor, when it came after the 9700? the failure of the tour haunts us. i love RIM but sometimes they do things that make no sense. Am i suppose to have some type of faith that we are going to get taken care of? Is this release of the tour with just a trackpad something they did to shut the masses up! grrrr...

Will probably run even better with double the memory of the 9700. Only time will tell though...

If that video is any indication, then OS 6 should run great on a 9650.

What is the ETA on 6.0 for the 9650 or is even a ballpark estimate not known?

It'll run great being a 512 MB device...Tho I'm not entirely convinced that the BGR video was a 9700...IMHO it may have been a 9780...just a thought.

Exactly...the vid happened to be on the same day as a 9780 .161 leak...just a thought...the experience seemed a little fluid for a 256 MB device...knowing RIM, the 256 os6 is prolly in very early development...and prolly still a hot mess! lmao!

BGR is a reliable source and would have no reason to lie.. If you can remember back, the first ever video of OS 6 was on a 9700. I'm guessing the 9700 in the recent video didn't have any apps loaded on to it though, probably just the OS. Maybe one reason it was so snappy.

They would not lie like that. What reason would they have to do that? They would be the last website to lie in favor of RIM considering how hard they've been on them recently.

so even though the 9650 has a smaller processor you're saying it will run just as smoothly as the 9700, if not betteR?

I'm curious about that as well. And just how much of a difference is there in processing power between the 9700 and 9650?

The later releases of OS 6 seem to be running much better than the version that shipped with the 9800 at launch. It's too bad RIM didn't have it nailed, they could have avoided a lot of negative reviews about the 9800's OS system had it run like video of the 9700. I'm hoping by the time they finally get the 9650's version out it will run like a champ! Here's hoping?

Well the 5.0 originally released for the Tour was horrible. I downgraded it back to the 4.7 I do hope Verizon tests out the 6.0 well before they release it. I don't want to see those issues as with the Tour 5.0
