Indeed. He says it actually runs better on the 9700 than it does on the 9800, despite the extra RAM the 9800 has. And it's not even a final build.
To the best of my knowledge, the 9800 pretty much runs the same processor and chipset as the 9700, so even with half the memory the 9700's processor has alot less to deal with (no touchscreen, no virtual keyboard, no accelerometer, no pinch to zoom, ect) So its not surprising to me that its actually a quicker OS.
I literally gasped when I saw this on Viigo on my BB... I have been waiting for this leak for forever... I can't get a Torch yet and Lord knows I probably wont win one so this would be great if it got leaked!
crackberry folk hero whoever gets this leaked, because you know AT&T is gonna want to sell as many 9800's they can before this ever becomes official, only hope is a leak or some other country carrier releasing this
i thimk the OS will drop sometime next week now that they showed it on the phone. im keeping my fingers crossed that monday would be the day that it drops on the forums
WOW!!! and it looks fast too! That should shut up all the android trolls
Lol. I'm happy you guys got it running smoothly. Looks much better than how it runs on the Torch. I wouldn't even look at the 9780 now, unless this OS takes up all the RAM (but I still don't find the 9780 to be a worthwhile *upgrade*).
Yeah, no one really trolls the 9700 forum. I think most people can agree it's a pretty solid device for the time it was released around so there isn't much for people to say...

Pretty good point there. just happy to see it finally on the 9700.
