I'm looking at a cheap 9700. Now I'm australia and the phone was purchased overseas and it doesn't come with a charger. Now the only thing I know about it is that it doesn't work here or what provider its from (waiting to hear back).

My questions are how can I tell if it will work in australia on 3G. will the original service provider have a frequency list that I can compare it to aus specs. Also will the charger from a 9000 charge it?

If possible can I have replies sent to my bbm pin cause I need the info fast. Pin:2135BF2E

As soon as you can tell us which provider the phone originally came from, then we can tell you if it will work on 3G with your provider.

As for the 9000 charger... that won't work with the 9700

The 9000 uses mini-USB and the 9700 uses micro-USB, so you'll have to either buy another charger or an adaptor.
