Was looking to buy a charging pod for my 9650. Just curious which is the best to buy. I dont use any type of case for it. Any info would be great. Thanks!

the charging pod is literally one of my favorite things about bb, no other smartphone has anything as good (the pre charging pod sucks if you ask me. woke up to a dead phone on a few occasions because it didn't align correctly and cannot see the time on it unless i sat up in bed.)

+1 for the pod. Got 1 and liked it so much ordered a 2nd. Amazon oem shop is not to snappy with delivery. Said "in stock" and after a week I emailed them and basically they said they'd send a replacement. I never got the first so replacement is kinda a weird thing to call it. But for 7 bucks. Anyway hopefully soon. Been 10 days waiting now.

Yeah, I second this! In fact, but two or three! Keep on by the bed, one by the sofa or the laptop while you're watching tv and another in the office on your desk or in your work area. You can't miss. They're cheap!

Wow, both of mine came in like 2 days, I was pleasantly surprised each time. Yeah JD, one for the office and one for the night stand.

Yep got mine from amazon 2 for 9$ definitly worth it, and they were the oem ones not a knockoff.

Yes, the 9630 or Tour pods work for the 9650.

Question for all you Podders out there.... How can you use the pod with a case? I have the oem tour BB rubber skin on my device and the contacts are covered up completely for charging..

Do you Case it all day, then at night right before bed remove the case to cradle it?

yeah i even have to remove my skin so that part does suck. it has metal connectors on the back of it which i never knew about it. They rest on the metal of the pod and thats what charges it.

Since I have a pod on my desk, I remove my case when I am at my desk for extended periods and sit my phone in the cradle. When stepping away from my desk I grab my phone, put it in its case and go.
I also listen to podcasts at my desk so I set my phone in the pod to charge while doing that.

I never miss a chance to charge up!

OK cool, I had the charging pod when I had verizon and had the Bold 9650.. Maybe Ill snag another one.
