Today I went in ATT and wanted to get 2 Torches and I asked for the $50 loyalty discount as I have been premier customers for more than 2 years... The employee said he could do it for me so it's gonna be $199.99 per phone! and he was gonna waive the $18 for me.

I was like and my jaw fell off.

He said the price is $249.99 originally for voice plan under $69.99. Da*n I am second line and my voice plan rate is like... $9.99?

I checked the price tag, it's indeed $200 for 2 year contract with voice plan of $69.99 and higher.
And $250 for 2-year contract of voice plan under $69...

How the f*** can I get to $149.99 for both phones from ATT (not Walmart)?
Seems like the answer is "never" so far...

I don't understand that pricing. I upgraded at Best Buy for $199 with a $39.99 voice plan.

If there is something wrong how can I exchange through Wirefly? Mail it back? Do I get any restocking charge?

Thanks... for ATT you can always do the exchange in store...

Is the exchange process easy? Cuz I wanna check out the wiggle before I bring back the phone from ATT store...

the at&t store you went to probably had the usual store set up.

Those phones cost a significant amount of money for the store. The stores get compensated based on the rate plan (a 2-tier set up).

if the line is less than the $69.99, the store would actually lose money on the subsidy of the phone, hence the $250 price.

I guess you are right... but I wasn't ready for that... because all I knew before I headed there was the $199.99 price tag... And even better at Walmart/Wirefly/Amazon.

i would assume you could get premiere discounts by calling the premiere customer care line...

or could get the phones at multiple outlets (hassle i know, would be able to achieve the prices you want though.)

Premier pricing on phones is usually the same as non premier, at least for me. The premier account gets me a discount on the plans.

I always goto a best buy to get a phone, or radioshack. i get pretty good prices, sometimes phones are free. i got my Bold 9650 for free with a partial upgrade.

I beg to disagree with the statement that premier and non premier members have the same price. That maybe true for iphones but the rest of the collection it is not. i got a 24% discount per torch because of the premier memebership

My premier gets my 16% off but still have the 18$ upgrade fee which makes it kinda pointless.
