    I have a Pearl 8230. I would like to change the 'ringtone' for my BBM.
    Anyone know how to do this or am I stuck with the 'ringtone'

    What do you have for options under "instant messages"? I have BBM ringtones there.

    You can change the BBM ringtone in your profiles, just like when the phone rings or when you receive messages.
