Hi everybody.

Couple days ago I've noticed that my camera performance on latest OS 5.0.0.822 on my BB Curve 8520 is not that good as it was before. So i fired up my video library and look at older vidios I've recorded while I was runnin' OS 4.6. Video wasn't great, but it was far more better than on OS 5. So I took another OS 4.6 Curve 8520 and filmed same video with two same phones (Blackberry Curve 8520) with two latest OS updates. One was 4.6 and the other was 5.0. Camera settings were the same. So lets see the difference.

OS 4.6
320x240 = 1,5MB

OS 5.0
320x240 = 750KB

A you can see OS 4.6 have much smoother recording. What seems to be the problem?! Bitrate? Do you experience the same problem?

p.s.: Just wanna say, my OS 4.6 recordings are smoother, so it can't be device failure!

i have the same problem but i dont know how to solve.

is the only reason because i have os 4,6 yet

Yes Tomo, I have noticed that as well but decided to live with it.

On a side note: Next time, please use a properly lit place.

i have de WB 7.1(same as Diegonei,props for his personal how-to�s) and the camera is the same it looks choppy when you move it, that�s the only thing i like about the 4.6 but i can live w/o the camera looking smoother when i got smoother transitions and better themes than the 4.6

I noticed this too, and I use WillyBoy's hybrid version 7.3 for 8520, this issue still happened

Maybe you are right, its about the frame rate, because I noticed even before recording, the movement captured by the lens is already lagged.

I dont have an issue with the camera quality, cause I have a camera for pics and video. I need my BB for everything else.

OS 5.0.0.900 seems to have it fixed... Or at least working better.

PS: See how there is enough light in there...
