If I buy I phone off contract/no term from AT&T (BlackBerry in particular), but don't have an account - what happens if it breaks while under warranty? Is it still serviced?
And more then likely the manufacturer will tell you to talk to the carrier. Since you don't, or wont have an account with At&t you're possibly going to run into problems.
Depending on where you are at, there may be an authorized repair center. I cannot say for sure that they would honor the warranty, but they will certainly provide quality repair service if your device "bugs out" on you
