Hello,
as you can see I am new so apologizes if this sounds too naive. Do you think that RIM will launch another bold without touchscreen or the torch signifies the end of non touchscreen devices like the gorgeous bold 9700 ?

The Torch and its sliding keyboard is just an addition to existing BB formats. BB have always been famous for its "real" keyboard devices... The 9800 just adds another form factor option but I�m quite convinced that we will keep seeing new models that use the classic BB keyboard.

The 9780 is just an example of this...

I wouldn't die for one but I defnitely would LOVE if that happen. I think they forgot us who have large hands. The 9000 was the perfect size for me!!!

Even though I like my Android device better now, I would buy that 9000 refresh in a heartbeat! I loved my 9000, best BB EVER!

Agreed - 9000 with touchpad, upgraded internals (memory, processor, storage, camera, WiFi etc) and improved screen (same size, more pixels) and BB OS6 would ROCK !!

Would prefer this over the Torch 9800 slider

Just wanted to throw my .02 in. I had the Bold 9000 a couple of years ago. Traded it in last November for the 9700. I just went back to the 9000 Saturday and feel like I'm in heaven. Should never have switched in the first place. If they ever made another original size bold with the trackpad, and upgraded processor etc, I would be all over it. Bold 9000 Version 2.0

Wishful thinking aside, does anyone here think RIM would release a 2010 version of the original 9000? I would buy it in a heartbeat!!
