What's the best application to use for Facebook Chat?
As far as I know, it's not as simple as using the Facebook application as I'm pretty sure chat isn't available.
Beejive and im+ both have facebook chat, they both stop working eventually. But beejive has a semi- fix, they make you sign in a different way with some other sn service and I wasn't a fan. It would hold ims and you would not always receive everything. have had this happen with both. Crackberry was showing off a bata of an application its the second try at it and I haven't run into problems. Trillian is still in beta but very powerful. I would say that's my favorite and when it gets a full release it will be that much better.

Hmmm I tried IM+ (lite) and every time I attempt a login to Facebook for chat it locks my Facebook account as it doesn't recognise the connection.
I then have to login to Facebook on my PC, enter some silly random words and confirm that I recognise the attempted connection. I then try and login again with IM+ and the same happens again.
I've also used BeeJive in the past, but it stopped working when FB changed their chat platform to Jabber. There is a way to fix it, but what a pain. They should have just released an update, but they never did.

Trillian andd beejive work - but are battery hogs
IM+ works (the latest update) but it is not as pretty and can drop connection
Nimbuzz works but is not pretty at all -
Im+ and nimbuzz have the advantage that they also link to skype chat - so you can chat to people who are at their desktop and refuse to join FB - there are some
IMO IM+ is the best of a bad bunch

I think Chat on Facebook for $2.99 is the best app. I have bought and tried them all. This one has blue LED notifications, vibrations, sounds. Very smooth interface. The others are very troublesome to use. This one doesn't interfere with the chat on your pc. It just works.
