I was going to try the leaked os x.862, when I go to the link provided by CB it says it has been removed. I was wondering if anybody would be willing to send me their file so I can try the new os.

dictoresno- Thanks for the links. All downloaded and installed.

ghostnyc - Can't report on performance or battery life yet, but I can report that I went from 81.3 MB of free space to 111.8. I have everything installed as I did before. (all of the same apps ect.)

ive got nothing but good things to say about this os. the battery life is the same or better than 743, the UMA addition to rogers is great and from what i can tell the wifi internet works faster than previous builds. all my apps work and for the first time doing an upgrade any beta apps i had from the beta zone didnt require me to re-input my keycodes.also increased free memory by around 10mb

CONTRA:
- some contents from sites browsed in BB Browser is totally messed up.
- BB Browser is a little slower than in rel. 743

PRO:
- there is no need any more for reinstalling old apps (after upgrade): just do a full backup and U are on the road
- improved battery life (after 3 days watching)
- faster caching thumbs in media view (pics)
- overall speed of smooth animation
- UMA support

There actually is a thread with all sorts of feedback... You would have found it by doing a search or going to the correct part of the forum (Beta/Hybrid OS Discussion).

I downloaded it without any problem but it wiped out all my contacts and calendar entries! How can I get them back or do I have to uninstall .862 and do the b/u restore to .442. Also, the DTM won't start because it is misssing a "product.dll" file?

So far, not a great start for me on .862. Please advise.

You can only get these back if you made a backup on your PC. If you did not backup these then they will be lost.

I noticed your cons before and meant to ask for examples of the sites you're seeing 'messed up'

I haven't come across any yet, and I personally think the browser is a little faster than .743

I did b/u but my DTM only shows a blank screen. Nothing else is on there so that I can eg. choose App Loader to restore. Any ideas?

Uninstall DM and install it again fresh. Sounds like it's corrupted.

Then plug in and restore your old backup file.

Are any of you guys having battery issues?? I came from .7xx and I could go two days and have 1/3 of my battery left, now at the end of 1 day my battery is 1/2 gone. I feel forced to charge every night and I didn't have to before. I have added no new apps, and actually removed things from phone (theme's photos, ect. that were just taking up space). Any idea's how to pump the battery life back up?

Battery usage seems a little higher. I notice that my WiFi and UMA is stronger. I wonder it that's using more battery.

Just installed this today, had .656 before.

Stuff I've noticed after couple hours:

-Web browser is slightly faster, specially when you're scrolling down and up on a "heavy" web site.
-The app "Password Keeper" crashed and caused a restart once. I didn't try for a second time though.
-Had to reinstall Twitter app as the integration was lost when the system came back. Maybe if I have done a battery pull, it could have worked. I'm new to this.
-Strangely, Blackberry App World app disappeared. At first I thought it was somehow erased so I wanted to reinstall, that's when the device complained that it is already installed. Have no idea where the icon is at the moment.

Maybe those are easy to solve, I haven't done a deep research, sorry to take your time.

Hopefully a Mod will sticky the Official Vodafone .862 OS thread soon
