I was browsing BB App world for games all of a sudden the camera seemed to activate and the flash stated blinking on and off. I couldn't shut it off and had to pull the battery. Well, I lost all my pics, videos and ringtones. A message came up about no media card inserted.

That sounds like a hardware malfunction. Try removing and replacing your media card, assuming you have one.

Could be NOT just the media card, but the camera controller chip. If that's fried, it could also be tied to the media card slot controller chip too. Request a new device if you cannot resolve the issue.

Also, try checking to see that the media card's partition DID NOT get deleted off the card. If it did, you CANNOT format it unless you repartition it. Google Gparted Live CD and download the image, burn it on CD and boot from it. If you already have a live linux CD, check to see if you can read from the card on your computer before resorting to repartitioning it.
