Hi. I am using my BB to take recorded statements, then emailing them to myself. the problem is that when i recieve them in the email I can only open them through quick time as an AMR file...
does anybody know how to record them as Wav or mp3 files?
if not, does anybody know how to transfer the amr files to wav or mp3?
also I have an 8530 using sprint if it matters...thanks in advance
Please help...I have converted it into Audacity, but this program is difficult to understand...how can i move this converteed file into an emailable wav. file?
I just tried to use Audacity and it needed some additional files - a amr module: FFmpeg for Audacity. Then it might export to WAV but I wanted to try mp3. You can drag your amr file to Audacity and if it opens it you should try the export.
I then a lame module to save as an mp3 file. The other responder might know more about how to accomplish this.
Not to highjack your thread, but have you noticed (recently) that the default naming of you recorder files has gone a bit weird? Used to be VN-yyyymmdd-xxxxx but recently it's changed. In fact, today's recordings are VN-2033-xxxxx The date & time on my PB are correct. Just wondering if it was just me or if it might be the OS. Really hate to have to wipe & reload if I don't have to.
