I went to purchase a blackberry bold 9000 today and I was told to wait until august 1 for the new blackberry to come out. They said the 9000 will be discontinued as of sunday 7/25/10. If it is discontinued will they drop the price by august 1? Should I wait to see if they drop the price?
They need to make an updated 9000 (as far as size goes; i realize the 9700 is an update in the specs department).
The 8900 is there if your small handed. The 9100 is there if your just small. The 9700 kind of took out the 8900's point of existance.
The 9000 was meant as a direct 8800 replacement. I don't see why they need to change the size of a 8800 replacement at all. I like the big nature of the phone.
The 9000 is still on the AT&T website. The latest news/rumour is that the 9800 on AT&T is going to drop on August 15 (maybe preordering online will start August 1?), so it wouldn't surprise me if the 9000 is as dead to AT&T as Fredo was to Michael Corleone.
