Hi All,

Our work Sprint Blackberry Curve 8530's are having huge issues with the 1XEV network. The town we operate in has a week 3G signal, but a strong 1X signal. On my Bold 9700, I can lock the phone to 2G if I want, but I don't see that option on the 8530.

We're dropping calls and the phone switches frequently between 1X and 1XEV.

Any ideas?

Have you guys called Sprint? They might be having some problem in your area.

If all of you guys are having same issue, I doubt that it's a phone issue.

Sprint says there are no issues in our area. I think we just have a weak 3G signal here.

Any way to lock the 8530 to 2G, like I can on the 9700?
