    when i try to record a video on my 8310 it will not work it then comes up with failed to start recording.
    any ideas

    Do you have a Media Card installed on the device?

    If you have a media card, you may need to do a battery pull (assuming that it hasn't been done yet), or you may need to upgrade the OS. Those are the 2 easiest things i can think of right off the top of my head.
