- Hi all
i just got my Evo today. i have a few questions i'm sure can be answered here.
1) How do i close an app out? Example: i download Opera Mini and i cannot figure out how to shut it down. Does they just stay open at all times??
2) i cant seem to figure out how to get rid of all the app icons i will never use. how can i delete them from the phone? i tried to make a folder and just put them there, but when i dragged them into the folder, they were still on the homescreen.
3) i thought the haptic feedback could be turned off for typing and texting?
i've had the phone for about 4 hours and have been at work...its a very nice device.

2 what icons are you trying to get rid of
You can disable hapitic feed back. It should be in spare parts under settings.

I want to just delete, for example, Peep. how can I get rid of it?

That's why you don't need to worry about "closing" apps when you are done with them. You don't have to be anal about your memory like when you were using a BB. I know, some habits are hard to kick.
The debate in whether task killers are needed is an endless one. I only use it to kill unruly apps, never to automatically shut things down that run in the background.07-15-10 09:13 PMLike 0 - Certain apps cannot be deleted. I think peep is one of them.
Edit: for turning off haptic feedback, go to menu, settings, language and keyboard. The option should be there. Enjoy your new device. :-)

For some reason apps like amazon mp3, sprint navigation, and a few others love to open on their own. ATK cuts that out, and my phone really runs better because of it.07-15-10 11:26 PMLike 0 - yea it gives me OCD when I know they're sitting there...open...not being used lol
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com07-15-10 11:29 PMLike 0 - idk man after i set ATK to crazy and have it kill off anything other than my important stuff and system necessities i have gotten more battery life out of it.

Today I was 5 hours into work and I was at 47% battery life. Lots of calls, texts, and emails. But I dont think that's bad considering I just got the phone Thursday and still can't put it down. I'm constantly playing with it. I'm interested to see tomorrow how my battery life will be tomorrow without ATK.07-18-10 09:34 PMLike 0 - I downloaded the task killer and my battery hasn't seemed to last any longer. It does give me some peace of mind though lol. I'm going to uninstall it and see how it goes tomorrow.
