Hello All, I had my Curve unlocked about 3 weeks ago and to be honest with you I dont really know if it is unlocked or not. I mean I went through the steps that I got back from gsmphonesource.com and it worked but am I missing something? I took my sim out of the phone and it still needs it to place calls or maybe I am just confused how it works. Please help thanks

Of course the sim card still needs to be in. Unlocking the phone allows you to use a sim card from a different gsm carrier.

Ahh, moved to crackberry newbies section.

Unlocking doesn't allow you to make calls without a sim card. It just allows you to use whichever GSM carrier you want.
