I've seen a bunch of people posting speculations regarding the price of the Bold, or wondering what it will be.

A friend of mine is a Rogers rep and I work at a Source (for you Americans it's Radio Shack) and the Rogers stores have already received demos of the Bold by a Blackberry Rep, well most of them anyways. I'm hearing a July 20th release date but that could be wrong. It is not going to be this expensive monster people are worrying about. Fortunately the iPhone is releasing for 200$ which leads me to believe the Bold will not be cheaper for our friends in the States as our phones usually are. Thanks to the strong dollar.

I'm willing to bet, and my Rogers connection was the first to say that the Bold will follow the trend of the curve with a 299.99 price tag. With a 3-year contract. That makes the most sense to me considering the Bold is about 100$ better than the iPhone. So imagine a 600.00 retail price.

Yeah, I'm still a bit doubtful of a $299 price tag... I sure hope you're right though...

Exactly my thoughts. I highly doubt that they'll release the Bold with Rogers for anything less... especially since the 8820 was recently released for $349.

I've payed unlocked prices before so anything under $500 sounds good to me.

If the Bold is around $500, I'll grab one, and eBay/craigslist my unlocked 8310 for about $300 to put towards the Bold.

Yeah I hope it is the same price range of the smallest memory Iphone but my guess is that it will be a tad more.

There is a $300 iphone (well $299) so it would not surprise me if the Bold came in at that price.
