So on the Blackberry.com site, i saw the option to upgrade to 5.0

Now i went ahead and did this, and my software right now is only 4.6.1.231 which is what i believe is the same as before.

How would I update to 5.0? Obviously the Blackberry.com website doesn't work to do it...

The upgrade option on the home page is for BBM 5.0, not the OS 5.0

There's a thread on the forum for OS 5.0, but AFAIK it hasn't been released officially. It's just a leak.

Yeah, I don't want to go into program files and risk messing up. I just want an official upgrade from 4.6

    Do you know of any?

I just double checked on the Blackberry website, and 5.0 is indeed official (I need to read more thoroughly :P). If you do a search for "os", v5.0 is the 3rd result and 8900 is supported.

Thank you so much for the BBSAK program--but I can't seem to get my old 3rd party apps back after I backed them up on there, any ideas?

    To restore

To restore a backup using BBSAK, click on Restore Apps. OR Go through Install CODs and just reinstall them by directing it to the Backup folder in C:\Program Files\BBSAK
