Blackened is as dark a theme as you can find but if you really like the dark side and want to take it one step further try True Blackened, which will be included in the Desktop Download file.
Blackened and True Blackened are identical in most ways. They both feature Hidden Today. They both have seven user definable icons with slot number sven being in the top left hand corner for your favorite weather app. Both themes have six icons at the bottom and the dock slowly sinks down to the out of view. Both have a lower notification dock that turns red on New Message arrival.
Now the difference between the two is very short. True Blackened has an all black background for Messages and SMS/MMS screen. Basicly all the backgrounds on any screen of True Blackened is BLACK. See images above.

Click screen left for Berry Weather.
Click screen right for Quick Launch.
Touch notification bar at bottom to bring up Today area.
Click notification bar at bottom for Calendar.
When notification bar at bottom is RED, Click for Messages.
