thats a good question and where/how did you get it
sign up on the blackberry beta website (blackberry.com/beta) and then it will be under a list of eligible programs. you have to apply and wait a couple days for a keycode to activate the download.
I've got the beta and it works great. I had it on my storm2 and when I changed over to the bold 9650 all I had to do was email beta support and less than 6 hours later they had issued me a new keycode for my 9650.

Reason: typo
its a little diff in the actual chat box. its styled diff. and to use it you have to have a keycode handed out by rim. if u join the beta zone u can get it. it takes a few days for the keycode to come to u.
Been using it for a week or so now. No problems to report, really nothing different that I see except the "bubbles" setting is different, which I like.
About a month ago I forwarded an address book entry to someone with another BlackBerry using BlackBerry Messenger Beta. After adding the address book entry to their address book, they were unable to edit nor delete the entry. I've heard this happening to others using BlackBerry Messenger. I'm not sure if this was an issue with BlackBerry Messenger Beta or BlackBerry Messenger in general. I've been somewhat skeptic about putting it back on my device. I went back to my previous version of BlackBerry Messenger.
