    My brother is eligible for a upgrade, he is willing to use his upgrade to get me a phone. I am with AT&T and his with tmobile, I want to get a blackberry. If ge gets a blackberry on his line will they make him add the 30dollar data to his account? If so, can it be removed if his not going to be using that phone?

    Yes, if he buys it at a discount (upgrade price), they will make him have the data plan.

    I suggest you don't do this. A T-Mobile BB will never work with ATT's 3G...and vice versa.
