It had 3G, Track pad and more memory! I love this phone and has performed almost flawlessly. It will be a shame to get rid of. Anyone else feel the same way?

The 3G and trackpad I can understand but why do you need more than 256mb of space? Are you running out of memory already?

Trackball has never been a problem for me, it get stuck once in a while but nothing scary, just have to roll the ball and gone is the dust. I d have to agree for 3G (internet radio, faster browsing and video) and memory (snappy OS6 ready). Other than that, it is a fantastic device, with the perfect pocketable form factor that got me to buy it instead of the bold 9000. I will now wait for an OS6 loaded device to get a new device.

Then wait a bit and get the 9300, the new Curve with everything you want.

Personally I don't want 3G but I guess I'm going to lose out.

This is a refreshing attitude. I felt the same about my 8820 but unfortunately I did need more memory and that's why I got the 8900. I'm not in a hurry to change but if when I'm eligible for my upgrade and there is a trackpad phone with more 512 memory from T-Mobile I might be tempted to get it.

I do like the 9300 for its "flushed" buttons that are connected to the screen...never liked the separate buttons that the 8900 has.

    if it gets OS 6
i love my 8900 dearly. it has taken everything that I've thrown at it with a grain of salt and muster up enough strength to go through. oh how i wish the 8900 gets OS 6 and i will never get another blackberry.

well i thought that way also BUT i found a used 9700 for a really good price..i have used my 8900 for almost a year now and it is just awesome but i thought why not see what all the hype is on the 9700..well its almost identical to the 8900 except the track pad.. yes it does get 3G but i use wifi most of the time anyways. the 9700 is sweet but the 8900 in my opinion is just as good..i still switch back and forth from the 8900 to the 9700, i just dont want the 8900 to put away and collect dust, i love it and will continue to use it from time to time.

I carry the 9700 for business and the 8900 for pleasure . Never leave home without it.

My issue with the 9300 is lack of camera flash and lower screen resolution (320x240 instead of the 8900's 480x360).

Personally, I'm indifferent between the trackpad and trackball. The only reason I went with the 8900 instead of the 9000 at the time is I love the separate keys on the Curve Keyboard...with larger fingers, the Bold's keys are too close for me.

Only thing that would make this perfect for me is 3G.
