I'm over my Storm 1 and want a change. One of my bigger complaints is typing on it - seems so much effort. Love the way the Bold looks but the keys are so close together. I think the Curve looks easiest to type in - is it? I'm w/ Verizon & do have iPod Touch so if Storm 2 isn't so much better & likely to make me happy again I could live with a less flashy phone.

I have the curve 8530 and I love it! I went from just an ordinary phone with t9 texting and no qwerty keybord, so it really only took me a couple of days to get used to it. I find that I can text at a pretty fast rate. My husband has the same phone and he has fat fingers (he'd kill me if he knew I said that...lol) but he has no problem texting at all on the curve! Hope that gives ya some insight

The absolute best keyboard on any BlackBerry is on the Bold 9000 but that is not
available on VZW. Barring that I'd suggest the Bold 9650.

Bold 9650 is what I'd go with on VZW.

Storm 2 is the fastest I've been able to type on a BB and I've had the 8330 and 9630.

I have the 9700, I guess it's similar to the 9650, and am pretty good typing on it. To be honest, my all time favorite keyboard was the 8900. I don't think I could ever get used to typing on a touch screen.

I absolutely dreaded the keyboard on the Tour when I first got it as I had gotten used to the spaced out keys of the Curve 8330. I am now more proficient with the keyboard on the Tour now that I've had it for about 4 months.

At one point I purchased a replacement keyboard for the 8900 and tried ti fit it into the Tour but the Tour's keyboard area was just slightly narrower and the bottom corners are different. The keyboard of the 8900 with the rest of the Tour would be my nearly perfect BB. That along with a touchscreen to allow for flicking around webpages using the webkit browser.

I have the Curve 8330 and the Tour 9630, and between the "chicklet" style of the 8330 and the together style of the 9630, the together style is far quicker and easier to use over time, at first I prefered the chicklet style but NOW it is about 5 words a minute slower than the together style.

Try the Storm2. The improved SurePress and SureType can't be beat for one-handed typing.

Edit: No. The irony is not lost on me.

I suggest you go to a Verizon store and just play with them. I have had the Tour but had to finally get rid of it after having 4 with trackball issues. The Bold wasn't released yet. I have the Curve 8530 and it is great. I have played with the Bold and it is a sweet device. Both are good. Don't rely on all suggestions. Bottom line is you have to decide which is best for you. So playing with them is your best bet

I loved the curve 8330 keyboard. So easy to type on. I am still getting used to my 9650's keyboard but it's only been a few days

I have had the 8530 and the 9650.... I adore the 9650! It makes me feel better about life every time I use it. The 8530 is a good phone, but the keyboard can't compare to the 9650 in my opinion!

I can type pretty darn quick with my 8530 keyboard and the only complaint I have is since I'm a clean freak I hate having to clean between the keys when wiping down my phone.

I agree with you. The 8330 keyboard was the best I have ever used. I have had the Bold 9000, 9700, 9630, and 8530. I still like the 8330 keyboard the best. Seems to be the most durable too.

If you don't mind downgrading the pearl flips SureType keyboard is awesome to type on very fast. The flip get a bad rap for some reason but for me it has been the best bb for me so far. If a small screen is ok for you then you should give it a try is nice an compact and no worries about breaking the screen just flip close. It is as fast as the new curve and all the options of any blackberry.

If you have larger hands the the Bold 9000 would be the best keyboard. My second suggestion would be 9700, which is slightly more narrow
