can anyone please help? i am trying to upgrade my curve 8900 from os4.6 to os5.0. i've uninstalled os4.6 from the windows control panel and installed the os5.0 and ran the BDM5 and i cant install os5.0, something about active blackberry subsription??
Are you connected to the internet while this warning comes up? Did you remove the OS 4.6.XXX from your PC? Did you remove vendor.html file? I upgraded my 8900 T mobile OS4.6.XXX to OS 5.0.0509 last nite and the BB is just awesome now....did have to thy almost 4 times when I got to that same screen you just arrived, i solved it by going back, sometimes unplugging the BB to the laptop (3 times) until it recognizes and started the installation...also, FYI, remove any micro card from your BB to avoid frying it and losing all your music, video and picture files.........I am using Desktop Manager version 5.0 or higher......
