You've got to be kidding me. I just got a 9630 because my 8330 died and I needed to get a working phone before 6 weeks of being gone where there was no USC. So that was June 19th. I know within 30 days they have a policy where you can get a different phone. Is there anyway to extend that by 2 weeks at all?

Likely not, that would be extending the trial period by 50%, you could always return your phone right now and go back to your original equipment (maybe you could find a used 8330 to use in the interim) and then get the 9650 when it comes out.
But could I return it to any US cellular or does it have to be the one I got it from. I also don't have the receipt or anything. Besides the trackpad/trackball are there any major differences?

This will depend on whether you did it at an agent store or a corporate store. If you did it at a corporate store then you could do the return at any other corporate store, if it was an agent location then you probably have to go back to that specific agent.
Well thats what I meant was switch numbers as switch my number off the tour and on to theirs. The change in memory (512>256) alone makes me want to pursue it as a possibility.
Will the 9650 still have the GSM/CDMA capablities like the 9630? I tried poking around but didnt get a definitive answer.
My situation is somewhat similar. I purchased my Tour in early May, heard the Bold was going to released soon, then called USCC. The rep I spoke to said the Bold was likely going to be a Christmas phone, so I would definitely be outside the 30 day return period. About 2 weeks ago, I read something on the Crackberry site suggesting that the Bold was going to be released in July. I called USCC again, spoke to a supervisor who indicated that there was nothing on their internal system that would indicate the release would be soon. Then last week, bam: the Facebook announcement! I called USCC again and was told that they were unable to help me (I do understand...by the time it hits the market, my Tour w/b about 3 months old). I guess I'll live...I'm sure there will be something that will be even better than the Bold, that I will just have to have.
Kinda wish I'd done a little more research about what new releases were coming before I jumped on my Curve. Probably would have held on to my upgrade for another few months, but such is life. It's not that I'm unhappy with the 8530, but a Bold would have been nicer.
I would rather wait to see if theres any possibility of us uscc getting the 9800. If not i will prob jump ship to android. I feel like we get everybodys left overs.

The only CDMA BB we've never had is the Storm, which is a Verizon exclusive.
