I installed this OS a few weeks ago and was delighted with memory and battery. Now for some reason memory drains to 0 in a few hours, battery also only lasts about 8 hrs with little use. I have same theme , no new active apps, checked all crackberry guide points. Nothing obvious.
    Any ideas ?

Draining memory to zero in a few hours is excessive, even with a bad app that is running in the background.

First Question: How much memory do you start with when you do a quickpull?

I would either reload the os, if you really like it or would go back to you old os. A fresh install should cure the issue since thier are no other reports of this os causing this issue.

Agree w/ ClintRo on this one. I've been runnin' 5.0.0.681 for a week, during which time I've had very consistent usage vs. my old 4.7.0.167. My battery has "come back from the dead" & I've charted the memory during the day. OS 5.0 seems to be refreshing it bit by bit - which is great. Good luck!

Try .610 instead, much better with memory management.

How much battery life will you gain by going to 681?

My memory is actually pretty good, nothing too major... love the battery life also.

Mine has been nice and stable on 681. I have been using it since the end of May. The biggest problem I have seen is with certain themes. I tried a few new ones and had major memory leakage. I found BerryPre (paid theme) does not leak hardly at all. I only use 2-3 mb per day. I installed the !6 theme and it would leak 10-15 mb per day.

I had the same problem as the OP with the version prior to .681

To solve I bought a new battery (my phone is two years old)
    Then, I installed

Now, after a week, all is well.

I get the exact same issue like you OP. I ordered a new battery and hopefully that will fix the problem. If it doesn't, then i'll downgrade the OS.
