I just booted up after loading .654. Battery life, which is my biggest concern with this phone, was laughable with .508 and ranged from so-so to terrible with .722.
.722 also had some annoying bugs, mentioned above and in some other threads.
I had a couple of texts that were EXTREMELY delayed, though that could have been the network. I also had an instance with no sound coming from phone during a call, though battery pull fixed it for now.
The battery life, fo me, has been excellent with .722. But it was OK on .654 and I didn't have any other issues.
.654 is an official release, .722 is a leaked version. On my 8530 the .722 was not very good, had to do battery pulls in order to make or receive calls. After making 1 call the speaker of the phone quit working and only a battery pull fixed that.
I've found the speed-dial mute bug present on the .654 as well, but can be remedied without a battery pull: if you don't hear the DTMF tones (or whatever they are called), end the call and try again. Worked on the 3rd try just now for me...
I'm finding battery life to be better, as well: at 80% after 9.5 hrs of light use....
