Just loaded .732 on my Tour today after doing a complete wipe first. Restored all my data from a backup before the wipe and then installed GMail. Upon launching it for the first time, the app begins to load and then about a quarter of the way through loading, I get an error in red letters stating "Bad content-type". I thought it may have been something with my restore so I wiped and reloaded my Tour again and this time installed GMail first thing. Same error. Anyone heard of or seen this happen?

Is your GMail working with .732?

Didn't have any trouble with Gmail at all. Verizon Emailed me to say my phone was registered right after the first boot

About 20 people have reported this problem on the Google Mobile forum. It is not universal but seems to occur after most reported gmail reinstalls on several Blackberry models and software versions. No response yet from Google. The only workaround I've found is to use mail.google.com but it's a poor UI and doesn't allow access to archived, labeled messages that aren't also in Inbox. If anyone comes up with a better workaround, please speak up.

It's ironic that Google has been dunning me for weeks to install their latest gmail for BB version! I did it and lost the app.

I am having the same issue with my phone. I really liked using the Gmail app on my old Curve 8330. I really hope Google fixes this issue soon. I really rely on that app. I can only wait so long. If it isn't fixed soon I'll be returning the Storm 2 and going back to my Curve 8330.

The good news is that as of this Thursday morning 8:37AM (ET) Google says they are aware of the issue and working it.

The bad news is that they have not said how long it may take to fix

This app worked when I went to 732 using DM. Now that I've wiped and reloaded it's broken. Gotta love it!!

This app was due for an update anyway, 2.0.7 has been kicking around for ~10 months now

I'm having this issue on my 8330 also. I am running OS5 but but have not reloaded my phone OS in quite some time. I just today decided to redownload the app (Google says they disabled the download but I installed within the last hour of this post). I'm not so sure its an OS issue as like I said I have not reloaded recently but I am running a hybrid OS 5.0.0.580 I thought I had used the app since running OS5 but maybe I haven't...

I un-installed, re-booted, re-installed, re-booted and still getting the error when attempting to load the gmail app.

I even tried playing with the permissions. No workaround found yet.

    Hey everyone,
I'm happy to say that the app has been fixed.

Just loaded a new copy of the the gmail app on my Tour and it is working.

Confirmed on the gmail forum that the issue has been resolved as well.

    m.google.com/mail

It will show that you are clicking on the download for 2.0.6 but when you click the download button, your blackberry will show that you are downloading 2.0.7 and it works.

    Happy Friday

Gmail mobile has done the 2.0.6 link / 2.0.7 download since last October when the Storm went to 5.0.

It is working now on mine. Thanks for the update!!!
