I sent a tweet to Kevin a couple days ago about this, and he wanted to see pictures of my white Blackberry Tour 9630. Here they are. I did this just for my own amusement. My inspiration was Kevin's white Bold 9700. All it took was $20 on ebay, and about an hour to disassemble and reassemble. I ran into minor problems with the trackball positioning and the top speaker cover, but nothing noticeable or unusable. I think leaving the middle black housing intact accentuates the white.
I also thought it would be fitting to take a picture of it with a crackberry.com wallpaper shot.
Awesome! I want to do the same to mine but my question is: do you feel a difference in the keypad? I feel like all the housings have cheaper feeling keypads and that will annoy the crap out of me
That is very nice looking! Braver than I am. Wish BB would put their phones out in different colors or give us the option to purchase a change out. I want one in Red!
ill give you one warning. Do not drop the phone! I got the white housing on mine to, i dropped it once (maybe twice) (was drunk). and a chunk off the top broke off, i superglued it back on lol. and theres another crack on it also. but it does look great, so once my housing gets a little more banged up ill probably just buy another white one. Since some tabs were broken off the top buttons the ebay seller is mailing me a free chrome housing lol.
I would say the difficulty is about a 7 out of 10. I live to void warranties, but since I didn't buy my phone through Verizon (eBay) it doesn't matter. I had to look at a few videos on taking the phone apart first, because it's easy to snap the tiny plastic pieces. I have since scratched the bottom piece that sits below the keyboard. This is normally where the carrier logo displays. The keyboard actually feels better to my thumbs. The fit is 100% solid. If you do go white, keep you fingers clean, and don't drop the phone.

I bought the parts on eBay for about $20 including shipping from Hong Kong. Took about two weeks to get here. Look for the Buy it Now items with the tools included; it makes disassembling that much easier...trust me.
